Privacy Notice
Who is responsible
Up Up Technologies Inc. operates PAAIPE and is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. The Philippine company is registered with the SEC under number 2021100030301-00. Its registered office, as recorded in its Philippine corporate registration documents, is One Global Place 10-1, 25th Street and 5th Avenue, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City 1635, Philippines.
For support, privacy questions, access, correction or deletion requests, contact paulgemarespinas@gmail.com. Please do not send passwords or payment information.
Information we collect
- Account and profile: name, email, authentication identifier, membership status and consent records. Optional profile fields include a photo, biography, work or organisation details and a link. Firebase Authentication handles passwords and Apple or Google sign-in credentials.
- Membership activity: event registrations, attendance and certificates, learning progress, saved resources, programme interests, organisation membership and applications, including phone numbers and other contact details you provide in partner applications.
- Community content: posts, photos, comments, reactions, reports and blocked-member choices in the mobile feed.
- Notifications: inbox activity and, if you enable push notifications, a device notification token. You can disable push in the app or your device settings.
- Service operation: requests may include IP address, browser/device information and timestamps. Registration reliability counters use a random installation identifier, hashed on the server, to measure failed and offline writes. These are not used for advertising.
- Support: information you choose to include in a support or privacy request.
Camera access is requested for event check-in scanning. You choose which images to upload; the app does not upload your whole photo library. Do not include sensitive personal information in public posts or optional profile fields.
How and why we use information
We process account and activity information to provide the services you request: signing in, maintaining membership, learning, events, community participation and support. We process security and reliability information to protect the service and prevent abuse. Optional marketing updates require a separate opt-in, which you can withdraw. Necessary service messages, such as event confirmations, are separate from marketing.
Where consent is required, you may withdraw it by changing the relevant preference or contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing already lawfully performed. We do not sell personal information, serve behavioural advertising or track you across other companies’ apps and websites for advertising.
Who can see it
Authorised PAAIPE administrators can manage membership, registrations, learning and moderation. Your community posts, comments, display name and photo can be visible to other members. Directory visibility is controlled by your profile preference. A photo you upload is served through a shareable media URL; do not treat it as a private file.
We use Google Firebase for authentication, membership storage and push messaging, our hosted API and media infrastructure for app services, and Netlify to serve the website. These providers process information needed to operate those services. Apple or Google process your sign-in request when you choose their sign-in option. When you follow a link or join a Zoom session, that provider’s own privacy terms apply. We may disclose information when legally required or necessary to address abuse and protect users.
Storage and security
Information is processed electronically. The PAAIPE Firestore database is hosted in Singapore; hosting, authentication, notification and email providers may process data in other countries. We use encrypted connections, authenticated access and role-based restrictions. No service can guarantee absolute security; contact us promptly about suspected unauthorised access.
Retention and account deletion
Account, membership and activity records are retained while needed to provide your account and the services you use. You can delete your account in the app: Profile → Settings → Your data → Delete account. Enter DELETE and confirm your password or linked sign-in. Deletion removes your sign-in account, profile, uploaded profile and feed media, feed activity, registrations, notification tokens and learning records. Organisation records may remain, with your membership removed; contact details on related partner applications are cleared.
A minimal deletion audit record (account identifier, deletion time and counts of removed records) remains to document completion. Security logs, aggregate reliability statistics, backup copies and records required for an active legal obligation or dispute may remain for their applicable operational or legal purpose. They are not used to restore a deleted account or for marketing. Contact us for the retention details or deletion of information outside your account, including a registration made without signing in.
Your choices and rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information; object to or restrict processing where applicable; withdraw optional consent; and request a portable copy where applicable under Philippine law. We may need to verify your identity before acting. You can edit profile information and notification preferences in the app. Email paulgemarespinas@gmail.com for other requests.
If a concern is not resolved, you may contact the Philippine National Privacy Commission. This notice does not limit your statutory rights.
Audience
PAAIPE is intended for professionals, entrepreneurs and people interested in AI learning. It is not directed to young children. Contact us if a child has provided information without appropriate permission.
Changes
We will update this notice when our practices change and identify the effective version above. Material changes will be communicated through the service.
