Terms of Use
Agreeing to these terms
These terms apply to paaipe.org, the PAAIPE mobile app and PAAIPE accounts. By using the site, registering for an event, or creating an account, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Who we are
PAAIPE is operated by Up Up Technologies Inc., a Philippine corporation (SEC 2021100030301-00). Its registered office as recorded in its corporate documents is One Global Place 10-1, 25th Street and 5th Avenue, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City 1635, Philippines. Contact paulgemarespinas@gmail.com.
Agent accounts
- You must give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you think it has been compromised.
- One account per person. Do not share it or let someone else use it.
- Your Agent number is a label issued by PAAIPE. It is assigned by the association, not generated when you sign up, and it may take time to appear on your card. It confers no rights of itself.
- Membership status, benefits and eligibility are decided by PAAIPE, and creating an account does not by itself confer membership, benefits or any partner offer.
- The app is free to download and use. No purchase is required to unlock its digital features.
- You may delete your account in Profile → Settings → Your data → Delete account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.
Events and registration
- Registration is free unless we say otherwise, and a place is confirmed when we send your confirmation.
- Joining details are sent to the email address you give, so please check it carefully.
- Programmes, dates, speakers and formats may change. We will tell you as early as we can.
- Sessions may be recorded. We will say so before recording begins, and you may keep your camera and microphone off.
Acceptable use
Please do not:
- register other people without their knowledge, or submit false information;
- use the site to send unsolicited marketing, or to harvest members’ details;
- attempt to break, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to the site or its data;
- upload unlawful, harassing, discriminatory or infringing content;
- misrepresent your association with PAAIPE, or use our name or logo without written permission.
Community safety
Do not post sexual or exploitative material, threats, hate, harassment, personal information without permission, scams, spam or unlawful content. These rules cover posts, images and comments. Use the post or comment menu to report content, or block a member to stop seeing their content. You can manage blocked members in Settings. Contact paulgemarespinas@gmail.com for safety concerns. Administrators review reports and may hide or remove content and suspend accounts. We do not tolerate abusive behaviour or objectionable content.
You retain ownership of your contributions and grant us permission to store, display and moderate them as needed to operate PAAIPE. Only upload material you have the right to share. Deleting your account removes your personal community contributions as described in the Privacy Notice.
Content and intellectual property
The site’s text, design, logo and materials belong to PAAIPE or to the people who created them, and are shared for members’ personal and professional use. You may read, quote with attribution and share links. You may not republish materials commercially without permission. Speakers keep the rights in their own slides and talks, and their materials appear under Resources only where they have agreed.
Partners and third-party links
Our partner profiles and outbound links are provided for information. PAAIPE does not control those organisations or their websites and is not responsible for them. A partner listing is not an endorsement of every product or claim, and any dealings you have with a partner are between you and them. Partner benefits are only announced once an agreement is formally approved.
No professional advice
PAAIPE publishes educational material about artificial intelligence. It is general information, not legal, financial, medical or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for your own judgement. AI tools can be confidently wrong; check anything important before you rely on it.
Availability
We try to keep the site available but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or withdraw features. The site is provided on an “as is” basis to the extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Philippine law, PAAIPE, its officers, Agents and volunteers are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or lost opportunity arising from your use of the site. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Your information
How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Notice, which forms part of these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version number and effective date at the top will change, and material changes will be announced to members. Continuing to use the site means you accept the update.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, and the courts of the Philippines have jurisdiction over any dispute.
Community review
Member posts, edits, attachments and comments are reviewed before publication. PAAIPE may reject or remove content that violates these community rules. You can report content or block members in the app.
